Challenge.. Should you accept... Remembering a Friend


Hi All for those of you who have been just as excited about this as I have I would like to now reveal what I have in store for you this month! This is just a one-off to remember a loved one and just to end 2009 on a high note and appreciate what we all have in life. It is fast approaching the anniversary of our dear friend and fellow scrapping buddy Dee's passing. For those of you who weren't fortunate enough to know Dee, here is a link to her blog for you to read a bit more about her: HERE In honour of Dee and to celebrate life and as a remembrance to her, I have designed a challenge with some prizes.



The Criteria:* It must be a layout or a card submitted to me by the 31st December 09 @ mumofheidi@bigpond.com*

It must feature predominantly the colours: pink (in representation of breast cancer) blue (in representation of prostate cancer) yellow (in representation of daffodil day)

*It must include this quote by Dee: "I chose life- because it is glorious!"- Dee Lewthwaithe

a little bit shabby!

here are our two gorgeous layouts from krissy that we will re-create at our christmas scrap day using the beautiful "duchess" papers from kaiser......arent' they just gorgeous!! i love them thanks so much krissy..."MWAH" ...

i am going to re-create mine using heritage photos and will post them for you soon so you can see the versitility of the papers.....you really do have lots of photo choice with these layouts and papers.....

christmas party time!!

i can't believe christmas is almost here and i am no where near organized at all!!!!!! ARRRRRR!!!!...ok deep calming breath!!! ...one thing that is organized is our christmas scrap and party day.....krissy is currently designing two gorgeous layouts for us to re-create which include some of her gorgeous hand made flowers, after which we will pig out on lots of yummy munchies and completely forget that word we all hate "DIET" just for one day!! hahahahaha.....

you will need one 6x4 portrait photo and one 6x4 landscape photo to complete your pages....PLEASE NOTE THE CLASS WILL BE STARTING AT 9AM......more details will be posted for you soon...

the OMG garage sale!!

just letting you know i am having a garage sale on saturday the 28th november from 7.30am...and let me tell you the stash for it keeps growing by the minute....the things i am finding is amazing me!! i even found 2 brand new,never even out of the box TOTE BAG SCRAP TABLES....how cool is that!! hope those buggers sell...hehehehehe....

seriously though if you are in the neighbourhood on saturday come on over and check things out...i have heaps of scrap goodies, brand new board games and puzzles, toys, books (for grown up and kiddies) , clothes...( well i will have the clothes once i finish sorting through them.....hehehehe)...some baby items, i even came across a brand new kettle! i told you i am finding amazing things.....

fun 8x8's!!!

today i had a ball creating our 8x8 pages for this month....a HUGE thank you to my gorgeous fussy cutting fairy who sat with me chatting and cutting for me as we went along..."MWAH" miss sandy your awesome!!! oh and Krissy you would be very proud we pigged out on red frogs big time!!! hehehehehe.....

this month's pack includes all you need to create these pages plus two more challenge pages.....thats right 8 pages this month!!!.....please note that you will need to bring your alpha stash with you as i am not able to include an alpha this month....with such varied pages it is impossible to include one that suits all...also the kits contents are huge!!!! we are going to have so much fun!!!!!!!!!!so here we go.......

this page of peta isn't quite finished yet there is still bling to be added to it and a quote using the little carolee's letters but i was out of the colours i wanted so off to the shop tommorrow i guess...i will post it again when it is finished properly but i wanted you to get the idea of the colours etc....

1.....mum of three ...feels like four sometimes if you include merv! hehehehehe....

totally monsterlicious!!! hehehehehe...i am feeling generous today for some silly reason so i decided to post this month's class pages a little bit early so you can check them out and decide on your photos!........krissy has created three absolutely gorgeous , fun layouts for us (as she always does!).....josh is such a gorgeous little model...hehehehe... i love the cheeky placement of the monsters on this one....hehehehehe.....

then it was my turn to have fun with these funky papers from sass lass...i just love them and had so much fun with them.....i know you will too!! first up ethie's cheesy grin for his 9th birthday....his latest thing is to smile so big he can't keep his eyes open...cheeky bugger!!

then we have ethan giving a speech in sign at a big school assembly...i loved using some multi pics for this one....

ok so there you have it girls...a huge , fun class this month for sure......please note that if you have any mini alphas they will come in handy for added journalling and also if you have a craft knife bring it with you cause we will be using one to create our frame on my first page....the photo sizes are listed to the side in the class times section....

here are just a couple of things i have done so far using some of the gorgeous poppies made by Krissy....i have some roses on the way so i will share those soon as well .....first up a little card i made for a challenge at scrapboutique for world card making day..... next is a page i did just for me! i used a kit from Wicked princess and krissy's gorgeous flowers....i have wanted to do this photo for a while now and just loved using all the bright colours for it! i even whipped out the cuttlebug for the butterfly...about time i use it a bit more...hehehehe

hey there...i thought i would put up all five layouts that we will be doing this month for you to check out...well sneak peaks of them that is....hahahahaha...i couldn't put them all up yet....hehehe....

october kits!!

Krissy and i have had so much fun with this month's monstrosites kit creating pages for you...and i just know you will love using them too!...here a a few pics of the kit contents for ou to check out...i have already posted two sneak peaks but i will post more for you soon.... first up we have the papers we will be using....two of them are going to be used as base pages....they are just so damn cute!!! each kit will have 1 navy, 1 white and 1 white swiss dot bazzill as well...

next up we have the journal stickers sheet...sorry for the bad colour of the pic...i am having trouble with my camera at the moment.... but at least you get the idea...

next up we have the embellishments....a piece of black and white spot material, two pieces of ribbon, a full pack of sass lass brads, four jenni bowlin journal sheets, and some lil davis designs alphas....i have shown you both alpha colours but please note that each kit has ONE alpha in it...some will have red and some will have blue.....

Sensational september!

Lucky me got to leave all the designing this month to my gorgeous DT's, Krissy and Sandy...who i think did a great job with our september kit!..so check these out girls!!!

first up we have two gorgeous pages from sandy...the first is still waiting for her photo..hehehehe....she has to reprint it a little smaller than she first planned but i wanted to show it off to you cause i just LOVE it!!! the beading and doodling on this layout just looks awesome! a little close up piccie of some of the beading featured on both of sandy's layouts this month...

lots and lots cutting here girls but it is so worth it...the layering of the gorgeous black flowers and bead work looks great... the next three gorgeous layouts were designed by krissy and of course are wonderful as always! i love the mix of shapes on this one and the little birds....

krissy has cleverly combined big brads and rub-ons to embellish this great layout.....

and for the final page krissy has included her famous "fussy cutting" of some gorgeous flowers and vines to set off this page beautifully.... we are all going to have a great time this month re-creating these gorgeous layouts girls...THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your hard work...

hi girls! i am sorry i haven't posted the kit pics yet but world war three broke at here yesterday so i didn't get a thing done...i will post them this afternoon...hopefully...we are off to maitland park today for the special ed athletics carnival...it will be so much fun....we have made flags, posters and streamers to cheer on USA!!! thats us for the day....hehehehehe....so.....chat to you soon and GO TEAM U.S.A!!!!

the miracle continues!!

hehehe..i don't believe i just finished another 3 quick pages and two of them are examples for the september challenges for "live to scrap" which will go on the blog tonight...so here is sort of a preview i guess...hahaha.... first up we have a page of the girls scrapping at my class last sunday using a pagemaps sketch and the gorgeous "lemonade" kit from scrapbooking from scratch...i have also added some prima flowers and kaiser bling to it.....this kit is absolutely gorgeous....

i am so in LOVE with these Websters pages, storyteller alphas...you just have to get some for your stash girls....they are awesome!!! i love the font and the colours are beautiful....the sheet comes with one large and three small letter sets.....they are great value for money and of course you can get them in some of Peta's kits at scrapbooking from scratch

next up i have used "me likey" papers from sass lass to do the kids school photos .....i have also mounted some of the cutouts to add a bit of dimension...

i stuck with the same concept for both the layouts just used slightly different cut outs on each one.....all the pages are quick ones but at least the mojo has started to flow a little again.....mmmm might have to get back to the scrap table i think....gotta strike while the irons hot!!!! hahahahahaha...

friday night fun

so how is everyone's weekend going??? mine got off to a great start last night ...i scrapped 3 layouts and 2 quick cards...the mojo got flowing again finally with the help of some awesome sketches! i am sorry about the pics ..i don't seem to be able to get away from the shadows today..i'll try and get new ones soon.... for this first layout i used the monthly sketch from SFS and kaiser "offshore" papers.......i really loved how it came together...the sketch is awesome ...great job Kate!......you should check it out and you never know you might earn yourself a $15 SFS voucher...

my little "beach bum" here was created using Krissy's awesome sketch for the CIS sketch blog...i turned it to the side and used rub-ons where a couple of strips were....the pic doesn't really show off the beautiful bright colours of the "snorkel" range but you get the idea!...that bum of Eb's is always hanging out god love her..hahahaha....

this layout using the bo bunny range "mango luau" was created using a tutorial on the bo bunny blog....lots of 3d layers on this one...i have added a couple of extra bits as well.....

a very quick fishy card for my FIL again using the snorkel range of papers and some dotted bazzill...

this last card was a real quick one for merv from ebony using some grease monkey paper from bo bunny.....ok so thats my quick share for today...hopefully i will have some more for you before the weekends out.....have a great one!!

for our august classes this month we focused on baby layouts using products from SEI......and here is what we came up with.....the first three layouts are the gorgeous work of the wonderful Krissy Christie.....they are just sooooooo gorgeous...i loved doing them...my boy versions of krissy's layouts are shown below also.....but first Krissy's..... i created a double page layout but the photo turned out awful so i have the pages shown here separately...just keep in mind they go together.....this first one is the left hand side page

this the the right hand side page for my "sweet dreams little one" double page layout....i kept this layout very simple but added creative elements by using puff elements stickers, the cuttlebug and shapabilities die cuts.....

just a little close up of the cuttlebug pieces and the patterned papers we used.....

the three layouts above are the boy versions of Krissy's gorgeous designs as i mentioned before....
